Rural Skyline

Life in Christian County, Kentucky...

SkylineArms stretched to the morning

There are some trees I really enjoy seeing without their leaves in the winter. This is one of them.

The scarlet robe of autumn
Renounced and put away,
The mystic Earth is fairer still, --
A Puritan in gray.
The spirit of the winter,
How tender, how austere!
Yet all the ardor of the spring
And summer's dream are here.

CONTENTMENT: Keep your heart free from hate, your mind from worry, live simply, expect little, give much, sing often, pray always, forget self, think of others and their feelings, fill your heart with love, scatter sunshine. These are the tried links in the golden chain of contentment.
